Greetings, dear Gaye Njorro community and beyond! Team Gaye Njorro embarked on a thrilling and adventurous visit to My Farm, where skills empowerment and innovation converge to shape the destinies of young people and women. Join us as we delve into the enriching experiences of our recent visit, led by our esteemed CEO, Fatou Saine Gaye, accompanied by the Directors of Administration, Academics and the Technical Adviser.
Our visit began with a warm welcome from Marit and Jim Njie, who graciously guided us through the labyrinth of their various workshops and training spaces that constitute the skills training facilities at My Farm. From the rhythmic hum of sewing machines in the tailoring workshop to the buzz of creativity in the carpentry workshop, each space exuded an aura of purpose and possibility.
As we worked around the campus, we were inundated with the sights, sounds, creativity, and scents of skill and craftsmanship. We witnessed the meticulous artistry and organised space for bicycle repair training, the sturdy elegance of carpentry, and that of the welding space. At the organic production center and garden, we marveled at the harmony between nature and nurture, where both students and staff cultivated both crops, herbs, and confidence with equal fervor.
But our exploration did not end there. We ventured into realms of knowledge and self-discovery, encountering the self awareness room, literacy and numeracy classes that illuminated young minds, a self-awareness room that nurtured spirits, and a computer class that connected the students to the digital world. In the massage room, well decorated and equipped, we felt tension melt away under skilled hands, while the proposed multimedia room hinted at future horizons of creativity and expression.
One highlight of our visit was our immersion into the world of My Farm, where innovation and sustainability intersected in perfect harmony. From the innovative setup to the transformative methodology, we were captivated by the profound impact of skills training, knowledge dissemination, and the wealth of facilities available for the students and staff.
Following our enlightening tour, we convened at the Batanba for a meeting, where each team member shared their impressions of the environment and their experiences. Marit unveiled the Leap Apps on the tablet generously provided to Gaye Njorro for review and use by our students, fostering a dynamic exchange of ideas and feedback aimed at continual improvement of the Leap apps. It was unanimously agreed that a partnership agreement should be developed to formalize and strengthen our relationship, paving the way for future collaborations and shared success.
In conclusion, our visit to My Farm served as a powerful testament to the transformative power of skills training, innovation, and collaboration. As we continue to nurture the talents and aspirations of our students, we remain steadfast in our commitment to creating a brighter, more empowered future for all.
